Are you a Structural Engineer looking to step into a managerial role within a well-established firm that offers Chartership support, career progression and the autonomy to lead your own team?
On offer is the opportunity to work within a specialist property consultancy business, in partnership with Devon County Council, providing tailored services across the public, private and commercial sectors, working on new and existing projects including the building of extensions, schools, residential properties and historical sites.
In this role you will be acting under the Associate Director, where you will progress and have the opportunity to build your own team of engineers and technicians. You will be responsible for preparing designs, preparing schedules, managing projects and supervising junior staff members.
This role is ideal for a Structural Engineer seeking to step into leadership, working with a reputable company on stable, long-term council contracts, offering Chartership, progression, and the autonomy to shape your own career.
THE ROLE
- Prepare designs, drawings and calculations in line with client specifications
- Draft orders, prepare estimates and approve accounts
- Create tendering documents and supervise works to completion
- Manage day-to-day expenditure and build strong client relationships
THE PERSON
- Structural Engineer or similar
- Prepared to work towards Chartership
- Background in property development and construction
- Commutable to Exeter
