Location: Exeter, Devon
Pay Rates:
- Weekday: 27 per hour
- Nights & Saturdays: 32.85 per hour
- Sundays & Bank Holidays: 40.82 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, with flexible shift patterns
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) Nurse to join our critical care team in Exeter. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with life-threatening conditions, utilizing advanced monitoring and treatment techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, ensuring timely interventions.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated medical equipment.
- Provide support and education to patients' families regarding care plans.
Requirements:
- Active NMC registration.
- Proven experience in an ITU or critical care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
Desirable Skills:
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
