ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Nursery Manager, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, educational, and enjoyable environment for children. Your duties will include supervising children, ensuring their safety, and organising activities such as games, crafts, and educational tasks. While some days may be challenging, you’ll also experience joy, laughter, and make lasting memories with the children during this crucial stage of their development.

You will join a dedicated team passionate about providing care, warmth, and kindness. The nursery is purpose-built and Ofsted registered for up to 104 children, from 3 months to five years. It operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, for 50 weeks of the year, closing for 2 weeks over the Christmas period.

ABOUT YOU

A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required. Key skills and attributes include:

  • Solid background in effectively managing nursery settings
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children, staff members, and parents
  • Creative skills and imagination to provide educational activities
  • Positive outlook to keep children happy and build a secure, rewarding environment
  • Conducting interviews for potential applicants
  • Developing and maintaining the nursery budget
  • Arranging marketing materials
  • Monitoring the condition of the facility and equipment, organising maintenance, repairs, and new items as required
  • Updating parents and carers about their child’s progress and behaviour
  • Answering enquiries about enrolment, payments, and practices
  • Developing and implementing an age-appropriate programme of annual events and activities
  • Preparing the nursery for Ofsted inspections and following inspector recommendations
