Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a significant impact as part of the senior leadership team in a manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join our client's leadership team on their site at Torquay. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence business performance by translating business needs into effective HR strategies and initiatives.
As a key member of both the Torquay senior management leadership team and the global HR function, you will drive value-adding HR activities that enhance organisational capability, employee engagement, and overall business performance. You will also play a pivotal role in deploying HR policies, leading key HR processes, and mentoring an HR staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the site leadership team, ensuring people strategies align with business goals.
- Deliver both tactical and strategic HR solutions that drive workforce effectiveness.
- Analyse and report HR KPIs to inform business decisions.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment up to Director level, ensuring best-in-class hiring and onboarding practices.
- Support and implement training and development initiatives to build organisational capability.
- Lead performance management processes to drive high performance.
- Deploy talent pipeline and succession planning strategies.
- Champion employee engagement, communications, and retention programmes.
- Provide guidance on employee relations
- Advise and coach management on best HR practices and change management strategies.
- Oversee HR functions and ensure smooth operation of HRIS.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience) as a minimum - preferably CIPD level 7.
- At least 3 years' experience in a senior HR BP, HR manager or Head of HR position.
- A strong understanding of HR practices & Employment law.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally within a multi-site, matrix organisation.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring managers, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Proven success in deploying HR processes such as recruitment, talent management, learning & development, and compensation & benefits.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Hands-on approach with strong HR systems experience.

This role offers competitive salary and is mostly office based with a 4 days in and 1 day to work from home.
