This is an exciting and enticing new role with one of the most exciting growing law firms in Exeter, with a young, ambitious culture, coupled with a modern and supportive environment. This forward-thinking Legal 500 law firm is looking for someone with previous administration experience (and maybe an interest in law, although that's not important) who can coordinate a number of different and varied tasks, to help with the running of the office. This is a brand new role, which is a show of the growth and ambition of the firm. This office currently has around 15 people, so there is a really strong team-ethic within the business here. The firm are well-regarded for developing people's careers. Responsibilities include:

  • To ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely at all times to maintain highest client care standards
  • To use the firm’s Case Management systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm’s standards and legal requirements
  • To maximise the firm’s potential to cross – sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities and reporting to Supervisor
  • To comply with the firm’s procedures and Office Manual 
  • To ensure introducers of business are kept appropriately updated receive the best possible service at all times
  • Liaising with fee earners and assisting with their matters as directed
  • Organisation of physical files
  • Achieving of file
  • Managing office supplies 
  • Minute taking 
  • Organising and managing events
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Manage office data
  • Develop and maintain department spreadsheets
  • Organise online office filing system  
  • Be the first point of contact for clients as and when required
  • General other admin duties

Skills and experience sought:

  • Previous administration / office experience
  • A proactive and positive approach
  • A credible and professional manner, coupled with a good sense of humour would be great
