gap personnel Exeter is currently recruiting for a Dairy Assistant to join an award-winning, 14-generation family-run farm with a rich heritage in producing high-quality, handcrafted dairy products. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Operating on the production line, including making, pressing, turning, and cleaning dairy products.
- Assisting across various areas such as by-products, storage, and packing.
- Supporting operations with occasional forklift truck driving (training can be provided if needed).
- Communicating effectively with team members to address and resolve production issues, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Adapting to new tasks and responsibilities as the role evolves.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Previous experience in a dairy or food production environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and heavy lifting.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
