This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our vulnerable customers.

About the Role:

As our Safeguarding Manager, you will be responsible for promoting, developing, coordinating, and overseeing safeguarding practices. You will ensure that all safeguarding concerns are handled with care, that actions are properly recorded, protective outcomes are achieved, and cases are escalated when necessary. This is a high-profile role reporting directly to the Director of Neighbourhoods. You will lead and motivate colleagues across the organisation, embedding safeguarding responsibilities into our everyday operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead our safeguarding strategy and ensure all cases are managed with appropriate actions and escalation.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns, including delivering training on types and signs of abuse.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies, ensuring a collaborative approach to safeguarding.
  • Oversee case management, ensuring data is tracked and positive outcomes are achieved to reduce risk and harm.
  • Develop and maintain safeguarding policies, ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and best practices.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, supporting colleagues with complex cases.
  • Represent us in external safeguarding forums and ensure our practices meet the highest standards.
About You:

To be considered for the Safeguarding Manager role, you will need:
  • Experience in managing complex safeguarding cases involving both adults and children.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks, including Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, Domestic Abuse, and reporting processes.
  • A Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
  • Demonstrable ability to educate and support colleagues on identifying and reporting potential abuse cases.
  • Strong partnership management skills and the ability to challenge professional differences when necessary.
  • Experience in working with specialist groups such as older people, young people, and adults at risk.

  • Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), with flexible and part-time working options available.

  • DBS Check: Enhanced level required.
