Overview:Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Assistant to join our waste treatment facility team. This role involves working closely with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure the safe, effective, and economical storage, handling, and use of chemicals in accordance with company procedures. The position requires a hands-on approach with a strong emphasis on maintaining cleanliness and order within the treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with chemical storage and handling protocols.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the efficiency of waste treatment processes.
  • Perform manual tasks to keep the treatment facility clean and organised.
  • Support the implementation of health and safety procedures.

Essential Criteria:

  • Understanding of the principles of COSHH (training will be provided).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience or background working within the chemistry field.
