Lead Accountant - Capital

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lead Accountant.

Salary: 26.32 per hour

Location: Exeter

Date: 16 Mach to 30 September - 6 Months

Shift Pattern/ Hours : 09:00 am 16:00 pm / Monday to Friday / Hybrid

What you will be responsible for:

To attend committee, Board and other meetings representing Finance.
To undertake technical research into new government initiatives, emerging accounting standards and other changes and advising senior management as appropriate.
To assist with benchmarking exercises, project evaluations, company financial appraisals within agreed timescales.
To manage the work and performance of Officers reporting to a Lead Accountant post, including mentoring and training requirements.
To manage strategic, corporate and unit projects as required within agreed timescales.
To be the lead accountant for the provision of financial advice and technical support

Requirements:

CCAB qualified
Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
Commercial accounting experience
Staff management experience
A good knowledge and experience of computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
Evidence of CPD
Ability to explain financial information to non-financial managers
Ability to plan and prioritise workload for yourself and the wider team
Good problem solving and evaluation skills
