About the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their growing team based in Exeter. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in the procurement process, securing the best prices for construction products and materials while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure materials at the most competitive prices.
  • Measure and quantify material requirements as needed.
  • Compare supplier quotes and analyze costs against budget allowances.
  • Conduct research on products and explore alternative options.
  • Communicate with internal teams to handle material requests via phone and email.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and inform site teams.
  • Update and adjust site orders to prevent invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized records of communication and historical data.
  • Manage stock lists, aiming to repurpose materials across projects where feasible.
  • Collaborate with the accounts department to resolve invoice queries efficiently.
