Purchasing and Stores Assistant - Willand

Part time

Monday to Friday - 20-25 hours per week

Hours and days can be flexible. Minimum 4 days

Pay rate: £12.50 per hour + depending on experience

  • The role is fast paced and will require urgent requirements across both departments.
  • This is a dual role which will require the right candidate to work between both departments and be flexible in their approach.
  • The volume of work for each section will vary week on week.
  • You will be responsible to the purchasing manager.

Stores

  • Booking goods into stock and live production orders
  • Weekly Stock Checks
  • Ensuring Stores housekeeping is kept up to date
  • Using MRP to update part records and locations
  • Monitoring NCRs
  • Liaising with production on live works shortages
  • Monitoring the kanban system

Purchasing

  • Expediting overdue purchase orders and reporting back to the purchasing manager
  • Filing and chasing order acknowledgements.
  • Updating MRP with Purchase order Due dates
  • Keeping part records of pricing and lead times up to date

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying support.
  • Attention to detail, high accuracy in managing procurement processes and handling supplier communications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
