Quantity Surveyor – DevonAn incredible opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a regional contractor on a permanent basis. This contractor undertake a variety of sectors including new build Education, Healthcare, Leisure and Commercial. You will be responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders under a variety of forms of procurement. As a Quantity Surveyor working with this regional contractor, you will manage the commercial resources of the assigned project to maximise cashflow. This position is a for a new multimillion pound commercial build!Responsibilities:

To support the project team with commercial and contractual expertise
Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
Implement policies for risk management
Preparation and presentation of monthly cost reports
Value works executed by Sub-Contractors
Certify interim and final payments
Prepare subcontract invitations to tender and evaluate tender returns
Manage prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes
Monitor and track project costs, including variations, change orders, and progress payments to ensure financial control and accuracy

Skills:

Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or construction related
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to perform accurate calculations and cost analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with quantity surveying software
Relevant driving licence
