Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Civil Engineering Contractor

Location: Exeter, Devon

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + package & benefits

Project: Highways Project

Randstad are currently looking for an experineced Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Exeter to work with a Tier 1 Civils contractor on a highways project. You will be working with an established contractor that have been delivering high quality construction and civil engineering projects across the UK.

Duties:

  • Managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects.
  • Ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget.
  • Providing financial and commercial advice to the project team.
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks.
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering sector
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential
