About the Company:

Our client is a well-established consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering cost and project management services. They work through the UK via regional hubs, providing an exacting service to developers, corporates, charities and trusts. With which they work through commercial, education, healthcare, residential and retail.

The opportunity we are recruiting for is working with a commercial landlord and occupier delivering high-quality office projects, from renovations and fit-out and with a strong M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) modernisation. With a focus on innovation and excellence, they are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of office fit-out and M&E projects, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standards. This is a remote role covering the South West of England, with a preference for candidates based in or near Exeter or Taunton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the commercial management of office fit-out and M&E projects, from inception through to completion
  • Providing cost planning, contract administration, and procurement strategies
  • Working closely with the clients team, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Delivering accurate cost advice and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Managing project risks, variations, and final accounts

Key Requirements:

  • MRICS qualification (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is essential
  • Proven experience in managing office fit-out and ideally M&E projects
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple remote projects effectively
  • Ideally based in or near Exeter or Taunton, with strong knowledge of the South West region
