Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Exeter. The business has a growing presence in the South West, undertaking projects across the healthcare, education, extra care and commercial sectors valuing up to 85mil. They have won a place on various local and government frameworks and projects are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
About this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will be responsible for a junior Surveyor who will be managing sub-contract packages and you will report into the Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
- Manage sub-contract procurement
- Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
- Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
- Deal with final accounts
- Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development
Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
- Be educated to HNC / Degree level
- Have a proven track record of managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Have experience managing projects valuing up to 30mil
- Be well versed in administering JCT & NEC forms of contract (framework experience is beneficial)
- Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to office (in Exeter) and site as required.
