This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable agent with offices in the Exeter outskirts as an experienced property manager with a salary up to £27,000 plus competitive commission, depending on experience and only one Saturday morning working per month plus time off in lieu.Duties will include:
- Managing and maintaining a portfolio of residential properties, working closely with landlords and tenants to ensure their needs are met.
- Reporting necessary repairs and maintenance to landlords, obtaining authorisation for work, and provide detailed quotes where required.
- Organising and coordinating repairs and maintenance with contractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Providing regular progress updates to both tenants and landlords regarding the status of maintenance and repair jobs.
- Conducting property inspections to assess condition, document findings, and address any issues that arise.
- Ensuring all gas and electrical safety checks are organized and up-to-date, maintaining accurate records for all properties.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and keep properties up-to-date with required compliance measures.
- Overseeing contractor work to ensure repairs and maintenance meet required standards before final approval.
- Managing the property management diary, scheduling maintenance work, property visits, inventories, and tenant checkouts.
- Overseeing tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring smooth transitions for all parties involved.
You will be currently working in property management or have previous experience, be well presented with a good knowledge of legislation and your own car for doing appointments.
