Interim Employee Engagement Advisor - Exeter / Hybrid - £30,000 FTE

Well Placed HR are delighted to have been engaged as a preferred supplier to support a highly reputable and very fast growing Exeter based services business. The company has expanded very rapidly since its launch and now employs a sizeable team. With a growing headcount and numerous recruitment projects underway, the business seeks to recruit an experienced an Employee Engagement Advisor to join their people management function, assisting during a period of maternity absence. This is a full time, interim with an anticipated duration of 12 months, and will be predominantly based from the company’s headquarters in Exeter.

In this role, the successful candidate will play a key role in the company’s recruitment and engagement activity. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Employee Engagement Advisor can expect a broad and diverse role with a focus in the following areas:

- Provide first line people management advice to colleagues across the business

- Maintenance of all company people management systems

- Take a lead role in employee relations

- Managing a variety of training and development programs

- Ongoing development of staff wellbeing initiatives

- Supporting senior management team that require HR assistance in performance reviews etc.

- Conducting continuous reviews of company recruitment policy

- Assist in all areas of onboarding by issuing and recording new employee documentation

- General HR administration and maintenance of all employee records

For this role we are keen to introduce candidates’ who possess at least 12 months experience gained within an engagement or recruitment focussed role, or in a general HR administration capacity. Applicants that have completed their CIPD level 5 studies are particularly welcome to apply although for this role, directly relevant experience is key. Good general IT experience and an up to date knowledge of effective web based recruitment exercises is essential, as are sound written and verbal skills. The role works closely with a broad range of department managers and directly with applicants so a sensitive, nurturing, and very friendly attitude are of the utmost importance.
