In this role, the HGV Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of buses and ancillary vehicles to the highest standards. They will ensure all vehicles are prepared for MOT inspections and meet compliance requirements. Working as part of a dynamic engineering team, they will play a key role in delivering reliable and efficient service.
The ideal HGV Mechanic is a skilled and experienced professional with an NVQ Level 3 in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent in engineering, ideally with PSV or HGV expertise. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
The Role:
- Perform regular maintenance, repair, and inspection of buses and ancillary vehicles.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections to meet compliance standards.
- Work collaboratively within a dynamic engineering team.
- Day Shift: Rolling rota Monday to Saturday.
The Person:
- Experience in PSV or HGV engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- A PCV license is desirable but not essential.
- NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Engineers will be considered, with training provided if required.
