Our client, a distinguished service-oriented business, is currently recruiting a highly skilled Finance Assistant to support their strategic financial operations on a temporary basis. Both, part-time and full-time working arrangements with a minimum commitment of three working days per week, will be considered for this opportunity.

As the Finance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's financial operations, with a primary focus on the purchase ledger function. This position is integral to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial processes.

The responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the purchase ledger function.
  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Maintain and update financial records.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and controls.

The candidate:

  • Proven experience within a similar role, with comprehensive proficiency in purchase ledger management and advanced financial administrative processes.
  • Experience of using Sage 50.
  • Proven competencies in handling high-volume transactions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
