Aston Education is working with a large Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary school in Lewisham looking for a full-time Lead Science Technician to lead the practical and technical aspects of the science curriculum by preparing and managing the resources required for safe, secure and exciting practical activities to be carried out by staff and students.

As a Lead Science Technician, you will lead a team of Science Technicians to meet the performance standards required in the provision of a laboratory service in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. You will be responsible in maintaining a system of stock control for chemicals and consumables.

The successful candidate will have A-Levels or equivalent in Science subjects and a good knowledge of COSHH and CLEAPS guidelines. You’ll also have experience working within a Science team in a secondary school setting. A degree in Science would be a distinct advantage.
