A forward-thinking and thriving secondary school in Exeter is recruting for a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher.
The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive school where Food Technology is highly valued as part of the curriculum. You will play a key role in inspiring students to develop practical skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of nutrition and healthy eating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to students in KS3-KS4.
- Develop students’ practical skills in food preparation, safety, and hygiene.
- Foster creativity and enthusiasm for food and nutrition.
- Monitor, assess, and support student progress.
- Maintain a safe and well-equipped food technology classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Food Technology curriculum.
About YouWe are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has a degree or relevant experience in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related subject.
- Has experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level (preferred).
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about food, cooking, and inspiring young people.
- Is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
