Long-term Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher to join a vibrant and dynamic secondary school in Exeter. The successful candidate will be passionate about promoting physical activity and well-being among students, helping them develop a positive attitude toward fitness and healthy lifestyles. As a PE Teacher you will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons across a range of sports and activities for students aged 11-18.

PE Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to students of varying abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students to participate actively.
  • Develop students’ skills in various sports and physical activities.
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and fair play through sports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall development of the school’s physical education program.

PE Teacher Requirements:

  • A degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching PE at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for physical education.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to promoting physical activity and healthy living.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
