We are currently recruiting for a qualified secondary History Teacher to join a school in Exeter on a long-term basis. The school would consider either a part-time or full-time work pattern and are happy to offer a trial week to see if the applicant is comfortable in the role. In addition, the applicant would only need to give one week's notice should their circumstances change, and you are able to book days off when necessary, offering you a healthy work-life balance. The majority of the planning is done, so you can focus on the teaching itself. This role is suitable for NQTs/ECTs and qualified teachers with experience teaching history within a secondary setting who value innovation and creativity. In addition, the school offers continued professional development for those seeking growth opportunities. You will be supported throughout this role and given the opportunity for further employment at the end of the contract if necessary.

What you'll need to succeed You will need to be a qualified teacher with relevant experience and subject knowledge. NQTs/ECTs hoping to gain crucial classroom experience are also welcome to apply. You must have the right to work in the UK and be able to provide the necessary documents required for our compliance process. This includes proof of ID, teaching qualifications, a recent proof of address and teaching or placement references from within the last 5 years. We can help you obtain a new DBS if necessary, which you only pay for once in a role with Hays. Flexibility in this role is desired, including the ability to adapt your teaching techniques to suit the needs of your students. Demonstrating professional conduct at all times is essential, which includes adhering to all safeguarding policies.
