Workshop Stores Assistant
Temp to Perm
Exeter Airport, Devon
gap personnel Exeter, are recruiting for a Workshop Stores Assistant on a temp to perm assignment based on the outskirts of Exeter, by Exeter Airport. Â
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the continuous flow of stock from Goods In, stock replenishment, workshop into production and then through to picking and then despatch.
As a Workshop Stores Assistant your duties will include:
- Working from works orders and drawings ensuring allowed operation times are met.
- Working in a stores production line picking and packing of items ready to be shipped.
- Assist in making sure stock levels are maintained.
- Assist in the preservation of product from receipt of goods to despatch.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area to meet the requirements of HSE and Quality Policies.
- Actively support in lean activities.
- Ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.
About You:
- Experience within stores and stock management
- Driving license (desirable)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to competently lift and load safelyÂ
- Able to work in a planned and methodical manner
Working Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm
- £11.60 per hour Â
- Monthly company performance available
The site boasts a brand-new subsidised canteen facility, alongside a fully inclusive ‘team’ working environment.
Due to the site location your own transport is required to gain access to the site.
Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business, whilst abiding by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
