- Provide support and guidance to colleagues in identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns, including training on types and signs of abuse.
- Maintain strong partnerships with statutory agencies and challenge professional differences when necessary.
- Oversee case management, data tracking, following up actions plans
- Lead on the coordination and development of safeguarding policies, maintaining compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Manage sensitive information with discretion, supporting colleagues in dealing with difficult cases.
- Collaborate with external partners and agencies to ensure joined-up approaches to safeguarding.
- Relevant experience of managing complex safeguarding cases, involving both adults and children
- Understand the legislation surrounding and relating to Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, Domestic Abuse and reporting processes
- Hold the ability to coordinate safeguarding concerns.
- Be able to educate colleagues on the types and signs of abuse and support them in reporting potential abuse cases and liaison with relevant partners.
- Have experience of identifying safeguarding concerns in peoples’ homes.
- Possess level 3 safeguarding qualification
