We are recruiting a Supervising Social Worker on behalf of our client on a full time permanent basis located in Exeter.
We are seeking an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our clients dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive organisation that values professional growth and the well-being of families and children.
This is a Hybrid role based in Exeter and you will cover Devon and into Somerset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert supervision and support to foster families, ensuring high-quality care and stability for children placed in foster care.
- Conduct regular supervisions with foster carers, offering advice, guidance, and support to address any challenges or concerns.
- Monitor the progress and well-being of children placed with foster families, ensuring that all children receive the best possible care.
- Complete comprehensive Form F assessments to evaluate potential foster families, ensuring suitability and readiness to provide care.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to deliver tailored support plans for foster families and children.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work undertaken, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a registered Social Worker with a recognised professional body.
- Proven experience as a Supervising Social Worker and a background in dealing with foster families and an understanding of the foster care system.
- Strong assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to complete Form F assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, children, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with best practices in social work and foster care.
