QA Automation Manager/ Lead SDET

£70,000 - £75,000 + bonus scheme

We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation as their first QA Automation Manager/ Lead SDET.

The QA Automation Manager / Lead SDET will set the strategy and execution of testing activities across the business and deliver a test service that ensures quality in a cost-effective manner, including high usage of automation.

QA Automation Manager/ Lead SDET Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive testing strategies (including automation, security, and non-functional aspects).
  • Lead and mentor the testing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage test-related risks, create test plans, and ensure high accuracy in software development lifecycle stages.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain effective communication.
  • Oversee testing environments and ensure compliance with relevant policies.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and influence over testing processes.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing test strategies across SDLC phases.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured testing methodologies and tools, Hands-on expertise with automated testing, Windows applications, and database systems.
    • Selenium & Playwright, C#, typescript, JavaScript, AWS, CI/CD, TDD
  • Experience in agile and traditional development environments.
