Join our dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants at Reed Education, where we are committed to helping children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) reach their full potential. We are currently supporting a number of secondary schools in Exeter, and we are looking to expand our talent pool with passionate and supportive staff.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Working with pupils who have a range of mild learning difficulties and additional support needs, such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD, or emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Providing individualised or small group support to help pupils access the curriculum.
  • Developing pupilsā€™ literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Enhancing pupilsā€™ social and emotional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a school or college setting with pupils aged 11+.
  • A good understanding of the needs of pupils with SEND and how to support them effectively.
  • A positive, calm, and flexible approach to working with children and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
