About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Torbay for a temporary position from Easter to Summer. This role is a wonderful opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Provide one-on-one support for students, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and developmental needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a classroom setting and supporting students with SEND.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
