Zen Educate is working alongside a SEN provision in Exeter to appoint a teacher.

The partner school provides education for approximately 120 pupils with special educational needs, focusing on high levels of anxiety and specific learning difficulties, including autism.

We have two SEN Teacher vacancies: Preparation for Adulthood (KS3/4) Year 9 Teacher ECTs are welcome to apply.

Salary: Dependent on experience + SEN Allowance (MPS)

About the RoleWe seek passionate SEN teachers who can inspire students and prepare them for adulthood academically and personally. The ideal candidates will be creative, student-centered team players who relate well to challenging students.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum tailored to students' needs. Teach engaging lessons that foster academic achievement and life skills. Plan and oversee the effective use of teaching assistants. Assess and monitor student progress, providing necessary reports. Support curriculum development and maintain up-to-date SEND knowledge. Communicate effectively with parents and external agencies. Prioritize safeguarding and adhere to health and safety policies.

RequirementsQualified teacher status or the ability to inspire young people with SEN. Passion for working with students who find school life challenging. Flexible, positive, and proactive mindset. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team. A full induction programme and professional development opportunities will be provided.
