Quest Search & Selection are working with a well-established fashion business who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to oversee the operations of multiple stores within the region of south west area. If you are a dynamic leader with a proven track record in driving sales, managing teams, and achieving operational excellence, this is an exciting opportunity to join and lead their team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the successful operation of multiple stores (25-30 stores) within the region of south west location, ensuring consistent adherence to company standards and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets, increase market share, and drive profitability across the region.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate store managers and their teams, fostering a culture of high performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular store visits to provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to store managers, ensuring that operational standards are met and exceeded.
  • Drive sales growth by implementing effective marketing and promotional strategies, analysing market trends, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, financial reports, and customer feedback to identify trends, address issues, and implement appropriate action plans.
  • Collaborate with the corporate office, merchandising teams, and other departments to share best practices, align on strategies, and contribute to the company's overall success.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines, including health and safety regulations.
  • Identify training and development needs for store managers and their teams, implementing training programs and initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in retail management, with a track record of success in multi-store/area or regional management roles within the fashion industry.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent business acumen and a results-driven mindset, with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving profitability.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering outstanding shopping experiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Familiarity with retail operations, visual merchandising, inventory management, and loss prevention best practices.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region as needed.
