This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Store Managers or Deputy Managers from supermarkets with a graduate calibre background, who have completed a Retail Graduate Scheme, and are eager to step up into an Area Manager role in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
About the Role:As an Area Manager, you will oversee and develop multiple stores across the Devon region. You will lead, coach, and support your teams to deliver exceptional customer service, maximise sales, and ensure operational excellence. This role is ideal for Store or Deputy Managers who have completed a Retail Graduate Scheme or possess graduate calibre experience, and are ready to take on greater responsibility as an Area Manager in a thriving retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Store Managers and their teams across your area, ensuring high standards of performance and service.
- Drive sales and operational performance, ensuring stores consistently meet and exceed targets.
- Oversee stock management, product availability, and ensure operational efficiency across your stores.
- Implement and execute company strategies across all locations, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- As an Area Manager, build strong relationships with your teams, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Actively engage in problem-solving and driving continuous improvement in all aspects of your area's operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Experienced Store Managers or Deputy Managers from supermarket or food retail backgrounds, or candidates with a graduate calibre profile.
- A successful completion of a Retail Graduate Scheme is ideal, though not essential.
- Proven leadership and team development skills, with experience driving performance and results.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to maximise sales and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, adaptable, and results-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple stores and work in a fast-paced retail environment as an Area Manager.
