The role:

Would you describe yourself as someone who thinks on their feet and loves handling a high volume of work in an administration role? Would you like to use and develop your administration experience, preferably from within Financial Services, to offer support to a Financial Planning team?

We are looking to recruit a Full Time Financial Services Administrator to join our busy and expanding Financial Services team within a larger accountancy practice. This role is predominantly office based and would see you offering administration support to our team of financial planners. There is scope to develop in this role over time and full training and support will be offered to the right person to enable them to achieve this.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to training and career progression. The role has arisen due to a member of the team becoming fully DipPFS qualified and making the move to become part of the advice team. We also have another administrator who is nearing the end of their DipPFS qualifications.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Independent Financial Planners with their client administration including:

  • Completing preparation for client review meetings and initial meetings.
  • Ensuring client records are maintained on back office systems.
  • Booking client meetings and assisting with diary management.
  • Assisting with post meeting client work.
  • Collating and processing new business applications, corresponding with clients and providers as appropriate.
  • Assisting with the preparation of suitability reports and packs.
  • Providing a high level of service to clients.
  • Processing documents including scanning daily post.
  • Keeping effective audit trails whilst ensuring company procedures and FCA/company regulations and rules are adhered to.

The Person:

We are ideally looking for someone with pension and investment administration experience to join our thriving Financial Services team, with experience of Intelligent Office being advantageous.

Although not essential, you will ideally have some Financial Services related qualifications.

You will have an understanding of financial services products and regulatory requirements, and preferably experience assisting with client reviews and conducting product and investment research.

Experience in a customer focused administration role is essential as is an ability to liaise confidently and competently, both internally and externally on administrative matters.

You will have exceptional digital filing, recordkeeping, with strong organisational skills as well as effective time management and the ability to own and complete tasks.

You will have sound computer literacy including a good knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel and knowledge of provider websites and portals and be comfortable in using Microsoft Teams.

You must have a passion to support the team so we can deliver a higher standard of service than competitors to retain clients and exceed the expectations of new clients, and a proactive nature with a willingness to work hard and a ‘can do’ attitude.

You must have good attention to detail and accuracy and strong verbal and written communication skills.
