GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to support young learners in a nursery or reception setting in Exmouth. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for early childhood education, helping children develop key skills in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children in Early Years.
- Assist in delivering play-based learning activities to promote early development.
- Support children with phonics, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Encourage social interaction, confidence, and independence.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support each child’s progress.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or a related field (desirable).
- Experience working with EYFS children in a nursery or school setting.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to learning.
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
