EYFS Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to support young learners in a nursery or reception setting in Exmouth. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for early childhood education, helping children develop key skills in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to children in Early Years.
• Assist in delivering play-based learning activities to promote early development.
• Support children with phonics, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Encourage social interaction, confidence, and independence.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support each child’s progress.

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or a related field (desirable).
• Experience working with EYFS children in a nursery or school setting.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to learning.
• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
