Position Overview:

  • Location: Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, Exmouth, EX8 5AR
  • Pay Rate: 12.99/hr + 50p allowance for each work hour
  • Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, work on site
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 07:30-16:00 / Friday: 08:00-13:00 / 30 min lunch break

About the Role

Based at the prestigious CTCRM Lympstone, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth handling of mail and packages for a diverse range of customers, including military personnel, industry partners, and civilian staff. As part of the Base Company Support Wing, you'll manage internal and external postal services efficiently and securely, contributing to the broader mission of training and supporting the Royal Marines.

What You'll Do

  • Manage Postal Deliveries: Sort and process 1st & 2nd class mail, recorded deliveries, and parcels for a wide array of customers.
  • Coordinate Internal Communications: Distribute internal mail, notices, and important publications like the Globe and Laurel magazine.
  • Package Handling: Redirect mail, handle medical packages, and arrange for the collection of large or heavy items.
  • Secure Data Handling: Ensure compliance with GDPR and MOD policies to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Customer-Focused Service: Act as the point of contact for postal inquiries and collaborate effectively across departments.

What You Bring

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Office 365. Experience in a post office environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to inclusivity, fairness, and respect.
