Are you an experienced CNC Turner and Miller Machinist?
I am hiring for a specialist engineering company with over thirty years within the manufacturing and processing industry. Their primary focus and expertise are in design, manufacture and installation of conveyor systems and solutions.
They provide engineering subcontract service, machining and manufacturing components for the wide customer base in industry sectors ranging from Food Processing, Production and many more.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting, operating, and programming multi-axis CNC machines
  • Complete multi-tool set-ups
  • Manual checks of components
  • Compliance to all technical documentation
  • Milling & Turning work to a high standard

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Five years plus experience as a CNC setter/operator/programmer
  • Experience in Fanuc programming and general knowledge of G & M codes
  • Able to read technical drawings and produce work to drawing specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience on lathe and milling machines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional time management with the ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Positive attitude and the desire to learn
  • The ability to think on your feet
  • Good estimator (time and materials)
  • Experience working on the following machines:
    • HAAS VM3
    • HAAS ST35Y (Equipped with live tools and bar feeder)
    • Colchester Harrison
    • Tryax Mill
    • XYZ Manual Mill
