Salary: £35,000 per year, depending on experience.

Contract: Permanent, full-time role.

About the Role
As our Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing operations within the home to meet or exceed goals, ensuring the provision of high-quality care. You will oversee the care staff and may be expected to assume full management responsibility in the absence of the Home Manager.
Through direct instruction and by setting a positive example, you will help train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work. You will assist the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents, ensure each resident's care plan and daily records are kept up to date, and foster effective communication with residents' families and other organisations.

Reports to: Home Manager.

Skills and Attributes
  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care services.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and the staff team.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programmes by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care plans within the home.
