Job Overview: We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Despatch Operative to join our client’s  team based in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for ensuring that goods are picked, packed, and despatched correctly and on time. This role requires excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is wanting to work for a company who can offer great progression opportunities. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
  • Ensure all despatch paperwork is completed correctly and attached to shipments.
  • Label and prepare goods for despatch, ensuring all relevant documentation is included.
  • Operate packing and wrapping machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Load goods onto vehicles safely and securely, following company procedures.
  • Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams to ensure timely despatch of orders.
  • Assist with stock checks and audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure despatch areas are kept clean, tidy, and organised.
  • Assist supervisors with monitoring packaging supplies and request replenishment as needed.
  • Work closely with warehouse, production, and transport teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Report any issues with orders, stock, or transport delays to the relevant supervisor.
 Key Requirements: 
  • Previous experience in a despatch, warehouse, or logistics role preferred.
  • Forklift license (not essential – training may be provided for progression).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills for stock management and despatch recording.
  • Proactive and efficient attitude.
