- Location: Gerrard’s Cross, Middlesex. Conveniently located with free parking and good public transport links.
- Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon – Thu 8:00 – 17:00 / Fri 8:00 – 12:00), offering an early finish on Fridays.
- Prepare seating systems for rigorous testing and final qualification.
- Carry out repairs and modifications to ensure all seating units are flight-ready.
- Assemble seat components, including backrests and sitting platforms, using a variety of techniques such as riveting, bonding, and fitting aerospace-grade fasteners.
- Perform detailed bench fitting, assembling parts to exact specifications, and ensuring each unit meets the highest standards of quality.
- Create initial prototype assemblies and contribute to the development of detailed build instructions for production.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with riveting processes, adhesive bonding, and assembling threaded components to precise torque values.
- A solid educational background with an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar qualification is ideal but not essential.
- Proven track record in manual assembly, with an eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
