Exciting Opportunity: Accounts Support and Administration Officer!

Are you seeking a dynamic role with a well-established company that boasts over 35 years of experience in providing environmental consultancy services to the offshore industry across Europe? Our client, part of a larger group of companies, is dedicated to developing solutions that minimise potential conflicts and interactions between commercial fishing, fisheries resources, and offshore developments and activities.

Our client is currently looking for an Accounts Support and Administration Officer to join their team in Eye, Suffolk. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to ÂŁ30,000 per annum. The successful candidate will support Management Accountants in ensuring effective credit control and financial data production, as well as assist Principal and Senior consultants with various administrative tasks, significantly contributing to the company's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Using an online management system to set up new suppliers•    Processing timesheets and expenses for zero hours staff/contractors•    Processing credit card expenses•    Sending client statements•    Credit control, including posting receipts and chasing overdue debt•    Managing client account payments and sending out payment requests•    Posting bank receipts•    Supporting senior consultants with evidence review, cooperation payment calculation, and general administration•    Reviewing WIP figures at month-end•    Raising POs for purchase invoices•    General office management, including ordering supplies and assisting staff with the management system•    Arranging team events (summer and Christmas)•    Preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes•    Liaising with external colleagues and building relationships as needed•    Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality with all information

Essential Requirements:•    Experience in an accounts function.•    Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders•    Good organisational and data management skills•    Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel•    Ability to prioritise and adapt to a changing workload•    Administrative skills

Desirable Requirements:•    Knowledge and/or experience of using accounting software
