Location: Eye, Suffolk County

Shifts/Hours: Average of 42 hours per week rotating over three patterns (Day/Night)

About the Role

As a Multi-skilled Engineer with mechanical bias, you will be an integral part of the production line ensuring it operates to the company standard and maximum efficiency. You will prevent, diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues related to facilities, layout and site machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical and Electrical maintenance to ensure availability and a reduction of unplanned downtime.
  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and electrical systems to ensure facilities and machinery operates at optimal performance levels
  • Diagnose and repair Mechanical and Electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Conduct safety checks on electrical systems and equipment.

The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background and looking to further their career in a food manufacturing facility. If you have a multi-skilled mechanical maintenance engineering background, this role is perfect for you.

Key Skills/Qualifications

  • Mechanical maintenance or engineering is essential - Proactive & Planned Preventative maintenance.
  • Full and appropriate levels of mechanical certification required, which is supported by practical ability and experience - NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Level 3, EAL Level 3, or similar relevant qualifications, or Qualified by experience.
  • Ideally form a FMCG or similar manufacturing environment e.g. Pharma.
  • Mechanical: Inspect, diagnose & solve mechanical attributes of the machinery.
