Company & Project: An established regional contractor operating in the Mixed-Use, Leisure, Commercial and Education sectors, are seeking to recruit an experienced an effective Trainee Estimator to complement their business based in Suffolk.
Our client is looking to add a new Trainee Estimator to their team to focus on their busy tender pipeline.
The business has an experienced Pre-Construction leader that would be an excellent mentor for the successful individual.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for assisting with managing the cost plans and pricing of single and 2-stage tenders in the main under JCT D&B forms of contract and typically 5m - 15m in value. There are a large number of tenders from a pre-existing frameworks in addition to selective tender.
You will assist with producing BOQ's, take offs, full cost plans and target cost reporting with occasional pre con surveying duties including deed of appointment and procurement.
Desirable Experience:
- 1 years+ experience as an estimator or pre-construction or surveying position.
- Use of Causeway or Conquest software would be advantageous.
- The business will support candidate who are part way through an apprenticeship or self-funded degree.
- Previous Roles: Trainee Estimator OR Assistant Estimator OR Pre-Construction Surveyor OR Intermediate Estimator.
Qualifications & Skills: Part way through or starting a qualification in a Construction related subject.
