Hales Group are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Operative to join our client. The company is family owned and is rapidly growing month by month!!  As a Quality Assurance Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our production processes and ensuring compliance with all relevant quality regulations.  Duties include, but not limited to:  
  • Quality Inspections: Perform routine inspections of products during various stages of production to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
  • Testing and Sampling: Conduct tests and take samples of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Documentation: Accurately record and maintain quality assurance data, including inspection results, test findings, and any non-conformities.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document any deviations from quality standards, and work with the production team to implement corrective actions.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes to ensure that procedures are followed correctly and consistently, minimizing the risk of defects.
  • Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure that all quality assurance equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, and report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, HACCP, BRC).
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key issues and suggesting improvements.
  • Training: Assist in training production staff on quality assurance standards and practices.
  Skills & Qualifications:  
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable, full training to be given.
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles, processes, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential quality issues.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance tools and equipment; basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify problems and suggest practical solutions.
  • Willingness to work in various shifts if required.
  • A certificate or diploma in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience working in food production is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP, or other quality management systems.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
