As Shift Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a production team to achieve performance targets, ensure quality standards, and maintain high levels of food safety and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on coaching, performance management, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilites

  • Lead and motivate a production team to deliver shift output targets

  • Ensure product quality and food safety standards are consistently met

  • Implement and uphold GMP, hygiene, and health & safety procedures

  • Maintain accurate production records and KPI data

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce downtime

  • Liaise closely with engineering and other shift teams to optimise operations

  • Conduct induction and on-the-job training for new team members

  • Manage shift handovers, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, taking corrective action when necessary

About you

  • Previous supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of food safety, H&S, and quality control standards

  • Proactive leadership style with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Forklift License
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams

  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar systems is an advantage

  • A "can-do" attitude and commitment to driving performance
