We are looking for a confident and hard working Science Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in Eye, Suffolk, on a temporary maternity cover. This exciting role involves teaching Key Stage 3 & 4, with a focus on Chemistry at GCSE level. The role may also include form tutor responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Deliver Chemistry lessons to GCSE students, helping them achieve excellent results
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support academic growth
  • Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
  • Potential responsibility as a form tutor, providing pastoral support to students

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Science, with a strong focus on Chemistry at GCSE level
  • Ability to inspire and engage students to reach their full potential
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Dedication to maintaining high standards of teaching and student achievement
