As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that lessons continue smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities for the Cover Supervisor include:
- Supervise and manage the behaviour of students, ensuring a productive learning environment
- Be a positive role model for students, developing strong working relationships with them and staff
- Cover pre-assigned lessons, delivering learning materials in line with teacher instructions
- Quickly build rapport with students, maintaining engagement and motivation
- Be flexible in covering different subjects across KS3 and KS4
The ideal Cover Supervisor will:
- Have experience working in a school or with young people
- Possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Show a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development
- Have the ability to maintain a calm and positive classroom environment
- Hold a degree in any subject
