We have a fantastic opportunity for an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic to join our team.The RoleBased in Fairford, UK you’ll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a UK Military base.Prior Aerospace Ground Equipment maintenance experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site.This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic, working on a diverse range of military equipment in an exciting environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Repairs and maintains assigned United States Air Force (USAF) Support Equipment (SE).
- Performs routine and extended maintenance on Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) units
- Inspects, repairs, and maintains assigned support equipment, using the applicable maintenance instructions and related technical data.
- Performs corrective maintenance on all SE and AGE equipment.
- Monitors bench stock items and requests items as needed
- Detects and treats corrosion on assigned SE and AGE.
- Enters required data on maintenance forms manual or automated.
- Changes oil and lubricates units on a scheduled basis.
- Files work sheets for maintenance accomplished on all units with department manager.
- Maintains hand and power tools in accordance with applicable directives.
- Performs emergency maintenance as required outside normal duty hours.
