Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Confectionery Production; 4 on 4 off shift patterns 06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00 £23.53 per hour

Averaging 40 hours a week (overtime available) 23.5 days holiday + holiday purchase scheme + health benefits + pension

  • Multi-skilled engineer with a recognised apprenticeship/qualification - NVQ Level 3 Electrical / Mechanical
  • Manufacturing experience with knowledge of applicable machinery such as metal detectors, flow wrappers, and PLC systems.
  • Logical thought process and strong communication skills.
  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • High standards of work, with a focus on delivering lasting solutions.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of CMMS systems.
  • Understanding of food safety and health and safety standards.

The role as below;

  • Execute all planned maintenance to specified standards and within allocated timeframes.
  • Complete additional engineering task, adhere to company policies and safety standards.
  • Ensure products meet Confectionery Quality Standards by maintaining and improving machine performance.
  • Collaborative working relationships with department heads and cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver objectives including personal development and training compliance (>95%).
  • Complete all work with a focus on health and safety, food safety, and compliance with company policies.
  • Support project teams and contribute to audits by ensuring an "audit-ready" state at all times.
  • Record and analyse data to improve performance
