Our client is currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician who will report to the Plant Manager and be responsible for carrying out all maintenance activities on the plant, preventative or reactive.

The role will effectively and efficiently respond to all operational engineering needs as directed by the Plant Manager to reduce operational downtime.

Main Duties

Carry out routine inspections and either repair or report defects to management

Ensure that the current plant equipment is correctly maintained on a day-to-day basis, allowing it to be operated to its maximum efficiency and capability to meet business KPI's

Improve machinery and facilities reliability through maintenance activities, modification, and good engineering practises

Carry out routine maintenance activities ensuring equipment performance is maintained and optimised

Carry out fault-finding and repairs in breakdown situations, using engineering drawings and machine manuals

Assist the team to maintain spare parts stores stock levels and records

Work alongside external suppliers / contractors

Qualifications/Experience

Electrical qualified and competent, preferably HNC Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings

Electrical fault diagnosis

Experience in an industrial plant environment

Ability to solve problems via advanced technical knowledge, root cause analysis, and theory testing

An awareness of health and safety in the workplace

Ability to demonstrate understanding of process plant and maintenance/repair

Ability to efficiently use I.T technology, including computers and CMMS

Day shift and Back Shift

Days - Monday to Friday with some weekends dependent on the business requirements
